Well, the long weekend really was the calm before the storm. Tuesday was a full day with all kinds of craziness at work then coming home to lots of forms and notices from the schools. Two field trips already! Lin got her timetable but I couldn't tell if she was in the program or not because it didn't indicate anything on the form. Anyway, after many tries today I finally got in touch with someone at the school who explained everything to me. Unfortunately she has to take art instead of band because of a timing conflict but the band teacher was very kind and said she would look into making some alternative arrangements since there are a few kids in the same situation.
In the evening one of my friends from Calgary was in town for a short visit. We spent a couple of hours catching up and it was great to see her again. Hopefully it won't be so many years between visits next time.
The kids all had karate as well and unfortunately we are back to each kid being in a different class at a different time. It was nice while it lasted having Ian and Ben in the same class but that is done and we are back to three trips in an evening.
Today the kids had to get up early for the first time in quite awhile. Ben was quite grouchy and I think an early night is in order today. Anyway, we got the boys off to the day care and then off to work for another crazy day of computer problems and all kinds of other stuff in between the phone calls to Lin's school.
After work there was more forms to fill out and Lin had a list of school supplies that I was able to fill almost completely from last years unused supply pile. There was also a message that a space had come available for the swimming class I had tried to get Ben into but it was full so I put him on the wait list. I called right away after work to get him in and take him out of the other class since this one is better for us. It's not at the same time as Ian's but at least it is at the same pool!
Ian started piano lessons this evening as well. I almost forgot all about it but luckily I remembered about 10 minutes before his class started. Now the kitchen is cleaned up and I am finally able to have a couple minutes rest.
To top it off I have had a sore throat over the last couple of days and I am hoping that I am NOT coming down with something. There just isn't time for that at the moment.
Oh wait, I think the dryer is finished.....
