My weeks vacation is over, it just zipped by at the speed of light. I still have the long weekend of course but my actual vacation time is now OVER. The kids and I tried to keep busy. I tried to reintroduce them into the world of thinking by giving them a little bit of school type work to do in the mornings. Ian had to actually practice his summer piano pieces a bit each day. Nothing too strenuous but it's time to start at least thinking about routine again.
We also had fun, we went to the water park one day and yesterday we met up with a few other moms and their kids at the playground and spent quite a few hours there. The weather was a bit on the cold side but only the moms seemed to notice that.
Today we went to the library and got some books, time to get back into the routine of reading a bit as well.
I am not sure if it was a good idea or not but I got Ben and Ian (Lin didn't want one) their own email addresses. We had a chat about how they should be used etc and internet safety so we shall see how that all goes. So far it has been fun emailing back and forth even though they are just in the other room. I think it cannot be avoided forever and I think Ian really wanted one, Ben of course had to do what Ian did. Ian also wants wireless internet for his iPod. I am trying to figure out how to do that but so far I haven't got anywhere and I'm not rushing into that one. Our wii also stopped working this week and I am not rushing to buy a new one either. It might be just the controllers or whatever you call those things so we will work on that problem as well....just not too quickly.
I also got to go out for dinner with a few of my friends last night. We hadn't done that in awhile so it was a lot of fun to get together and catch up. The long chat in the car with my one friend after dinner was interesting too!
